CSI publishes the second annual report on openings and closures in the care home for the edlerly market in 2016
Despite all the shouts of "Social Care In Crisis" we have discovered some surprising outcomes.
We find a specific sector that has grown its number of beds, and once again we can apppreciate how valuable extensions and increased registrations are, as we try to create much needed extra beds.
But unfortunately, just as we reported in 2015, there was a net decrease in the number of care home beds, rather than a required growth, to meet the increased demand due to our ageing population.
